Our repair shop is on-site, and this helps us guarantee the shortest possible turnaround time without sacrificing quality parts or service. Aaron Folmsbee

Aaron Folmsbee was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. His repair career began in 2012 as a shop assistant at Twin Village Music in Lancaster, NY. He attended Renton Technical College in Renton, Washington, where he earned his Certificate in Band Instrument Repair Technology in 2015. From 2016-2020, Aaron served as the primary brass instrument service technician at Bridgepoint Music in Menlo Park, California. There, he provided services from routine cleaning and maintenance to custom modifications to clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. As of the fall of 2020, Aaron has settled in Chester County as a band instrument repair technician and joined Taylor’s Music. Aaron has been a member and clinician of the National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians (NAPBIRT) since 2015. Outside the repair shop, Aaron holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Education and a Certificate in Trumpet Performance from the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY. He has taught private music lessons since 2006 and has performed in a variety of musical settings spanning jazz, classical, rock, punk, folk, improvisatory and experimental music.

Katie Kendall

Katie Kendall is a native of Las Cruces, NM, where she attended New Mexico State University. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance, she relocated to Renton, Washington in 2014 to study band instrument repair. She spent her first year at the bench in St. George, Utah. In 2016 she began working at Bridgepoint Music in Menlo Park, California, where she was the woodwind repair specialist. She became Straubinger Certified in 2017 and attended the NAPBIRT University Bassoon Course during the summer of 2018. Additionally, she has been an active member of NAPBIRT since 2015 and has served as a clinician and committee member. In 2020, she accepted a position at Taylor’s Music Store and Studios as a Band Instrument Repair Technician.
