Instrument Overview
The Clarinet is a single reed woodwind instrument that comes in several keys and sizes. The most common clarinet is the Bb Soprano Clarinet, and most of the time this is the instrument that is referred to as simply a “Clarinet”. Clarinets have been made from a wide variety of materials in the past, but are currently made from either Resin or Grenadilla wood. They are commonly used today in western classical, jazz, and concert band music.
