Additional class topics include music theory, history, and playing technique presented through a variety of games and activities. The class is open to students in grades K-12 on Saturday mornings from 12:30PM to 1:00 PM. Participation requires the purchase of books, as well as access to a home piano or keyboard. Multiple classes and age groups are offered as soon as a minimum of four students enroll. Enrollment is ongoing and students may register at any time! Pamela is a wonderful teacher who has been so encouraging! My daughters made a lot of progress during the 8-week session last summer, and by the time it ended they were both eager to continue with weekly lessons. They have continued to learn so much and gotten excited about selecting music just to play for fun. We live out of state, so the remote-learning format has been great for us too.
I want to share how grateful my wife and I are for your group piano lessons. Our daughter began learning piano with you in the summer of 2019. With each lesson, you incorporated games for students to learn notes and musical notation, easy to follow instructions for proper hand positioning, and playing simple tunes to gain confidence. Since that initial class, she has continued with you in smaller groups and now takes private lessons.
Having my shy son in a group setting for piano lessons gave him more confidence to continue and see there are others out there that enjoy the piano as well.
Group piano lessons were instrumental in our daughter’s development. She learned to understand the piano as an instrument and gained a deep love for playing. In the group setting, you were able to keep students of various abilities and backgrounds together as a unit while providing individual feedback. Most importantly, your patience with students of varied learning abilities was quite evident. Thank you again for your continued work!
