John DeBiase is a 2022 graduate of West Chester University’s Wells School of Music with a dual degree in Music Education and Oboe Performance and a minor in Bassoon Performance, where he studied with Dr. Henry Grabb and Mr. Jon Gaarder. In addition to performing locally at hired community events with the Pennsylvania Chamber Winds, John served as principal oboe in the WCU Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Winds, and Woodwind Quartet, as well as played bassoon in the WCU Concert Band.
In addition to his experience with double reeds, John is proficient on several instruments and in various performance settings, including playing trombone and clarinet in the Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band at WCU and serving as a Marching Band Tech and Percussion Tech for his high school alma mater’s marching band at Rising Sun High School in Rising Sun, MD. He has also played clarinet, oboe, alto sax, tenor sax, and baritone sax in jazz ensembles and musical pit orchestras.
Passionate about teaching and the success of his students, John offers lessons in Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, and Saxophone to students of all ages and ability levels.
