Dr. Michael Simmons
Dr. Michael Simmons has over 25 years of teaching experience and remains active as a professional freelance performer. He teachers Acoustic & Electric Guitar (all styles), Electric Bass, and Ukulele. Michael is the Upper School Music Director at the Woodlynde School where he directs rock and performance ensemble and teaches music technology, theory, and instrumental courses. Dr. Simmons received his B.M. in guitar performance from the University of the Arts, M.M. in guitar performance and music history from Temple University, and D.M.A in music education from Boston University. In addition, Michael is a Pennsylvania Certified Music Specialist II and received Kodály training at West Chester University.
