Thomas AlbericiM.A. summa cum laude from Villanova University, is a piano instructor for all ages and levels of experience.  Mr. Alberici has been teaching for over 20 years and is ranked among the area’s top instructors. He studied classical piano performance and education at West Chester University of Pennsylvania at the graduate level and continues to advance his musical education in both piano technique, pedagogy, theory, composition, and musicology. Mr. Alberici has been classically trained by some of the world’s top piano virtuosi in the ‘Russian Tradition’ of piano playing and he maintains a special focus on the vast romantic piano repertoire of the 19th Century, in addition to many other styles (Baroque, Classical, Modern, Jazz, and Pop).

Mr. Alberici has developed a progressive and comprehensive approach to teaching that allows students to achieve success and enjoy music from day one and for many years to come. After many years of careful and thorough research, Mr. Alberici teaches from a detailed and progressive curriculum designed to guide students from the earliest stages of learning through to the standard advanced piano literature. All styles of music are represented in his curriculum, giving students a broad experience and preparation for a variety of musical settings.

Mr. Alberici performs locally and has recorded for Acte Prealable Records on the world premier recording of the Complete Piano Works of Maria Szymanowska. Mr. Alberici is also ‘tri-lingual’ in English, Italian, and Spanish.

“The progress I’ve made in the past 4 months with Thomas has been unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. For the past 8 years, I’ve been on and off playing piano (albeit, largely self-taught through YouTube). There then came a day where I realized I had so much more potential to break past the “monkey-see, monkey-do” way of learning. Thomas has been the best fit for what I needed in the next step of my journey playing piano. He took the time to learn and understand exactly where I was when we started and completely tailored our lessons to go back to basics of how I “should have” traditionally learned through reading sheet music. While at the same time introducing pieces to learn for myself and to perform in front of others (something I feel can significantly help me in my journey). Thomas has a huge capacity to help me grow as a pianist. But I will say, you must come prepared to do your side of the leg work. Something I need in an instructor is to feel like I’m being pushed to something greater. To feel just a little bit out of my comfort zone. To feel like I’m progressing well. From my experience, Thomas continues to provide all of that. Anyone who can relate to my words and experience I can assure will benefit from his teaching and mentorship. I look forward to the road ahead!”
